Dr Funsho Oladipo is one of the uniquely talented figures amongst his contemporaries. His dedication to work and study won him several awards and scholarships as he always graduated top of his class right from the elementary school.
He had his A levels in Federal Government College, Warri (1971 – 1973) and thereafter got admission into the University of Ibadan, Faculty of Medicine in 1973.
He was a University scholar.
He worked as a medical officer in First Shadrack Hospital, Ilupeju.
He founded R-Jolad Hospital in 1982.
Abiola Fasina-Ayoola, MD, MSHP, DTM&H, FASTMH, FMCEM, is an emergency and critical care physician and health policy consultant based in Lagos, Nigeria. Dr. Fasina-Ayoola's journey in emergency medicine began at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. After years of practice, she further honed her skills with a two-year Emergency Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellowship (POCUS) and a Master’s in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
Her commitment to the field is evident in her involvement in emergency medicine development and POCUS education in Nigeria, where she practices clinical emergency and critical care medicine. As a board member and foundational fellow of the Faculty of Emergency Medicine at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPGMCN), she played a pivotal role in drafting the national emergency medicine curriculum for future training programs. Her contributions extend internationally, as she is a board member and fellow of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Her research and interests include the capacity building of emergency health systems in low- and middle-income African countries, specifically around POCUS and clinical decision-making. She has worked in Nigeria, Liberia, Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zanzibar, and has extensive international experience. Dr. Fasina-Ayoola's leadership extends beyond her role as a physician and consultant. She is the medical director of R-Jolad Hospital System, a 250-bed private hospital system in Lagos, Nigeria, with three sites across the city.
R-Jolad is a multi-specialty hospital that strives to provide quality healthcare at an affordable price. Dr. Fasina-Ayoola's expertise is particularly evident in her role as the head of the hospital's Emergency and Critical Care Department, launched in March 2022. Her recent achievements include securing a pilot grant from the Duke University Global Health Institute to study emergency sepsis and develop a locally relevant algorithm for care.
Mr. Soji Osunsedo is the Chief Operating Officer at R-Jolad Hospital, Soji is a seasoned professional with over 21 years of experience across a diverse range of sectors in Nigeria.
Prior to joining R-Jolad Hospital, Soji served as Head of Operations at Tangerine Pensions (formerly AXA Mansard Pensions), were he spear-headed full automation of key processes around contribution processing and clients service management.
In his time at AXA Mansard Pensions he also had oversight of the Business Development department leading the Business Growth strategy implementation plan resulting in laudable growth in the customer base. He also served as Group Head of the Priority Clients Teams at AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, where he engineered and drove the restructuring of the High Net-worth Clients teams to drive an enhanced Customer Relationship Management process.
Before his time at AXA Mansard, Soji spent 7 years as Head of Operations at Tanmo Pharmaceuticals Ltd, where he repositioned the company by restructuring its entire system of operation to better cope with the manufacturing and distribution challenges it was facing. He also gained valuable experience in sales and client services during a brief spell at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc under the Retail Banking Group.
Soji holds a BSc in Insurance from the University of Lagos and has attended several training programs in Strategy, Management, and Underwriting, among others. His wealth of experience and expertise have improved our operations and services here at R-Jolad Hospital, even in a short period of time and it is indeed an honor to have him on the team.
Dr. Blessing Chukwukelu is a Chief Consultant Family physician and The Director of Training at R –Jolad Multispecialist Hospital, Lagos , Nigeria which is an accredited center for Residency and Tutelage Training in Family Medicine by both the West African College of Physicians(WACP) and National Post graduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) as well as Housemanship Training and as a CPD provider by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
She graduated from College of Medicine, University of Nigeria July 1987 and completed her Post Graduate Medical training and became a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, Faculty of Family Medicine in April 2002 graduating as the best graduating Fellow. She is a Fellow of Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria as well as a Fellow of Health Finance and Management.
She holds a certificate in Geriatric care and has established Geriatric care and Home visit program at R Jolad Plus Multispecialist Hospital, Lagos .
She is an Examiner with the Faculty of Family Medicine of both WACP and NPMCN Nigeria and has held several positions at the Faculty of Family Medicine West African College Physicians and has produced several Fellows who are now Consultant Family Physicians making waves all over the world.
She is the National Vice President of The Society of Family Physicians of Nigeria (SOFPON) and She has received several awards including awards for outstanding achievements in the Medical Profession. This included NMA Lagos Physician of the Year 2019 Award as well as several awards from SOFPON, West African College of Physicians and several circular awards.
She has several Medical publications to her Credit and has presented several Scientific Papers and Lectures at both local and International fora and has attended several conferences within and outside Nigeria.
Joyce Ikechi-Mark is a seasoned Nurse/Midwife who have actively practiced nursing with passion, compassion and empathy for over two decades. She started her professional nursing career at the Premier Specialists Medical Centre in Victoria Island where she rose to become the head of Nursing department. She had numerous trainings from international and local trainers while at Premier widening her experience and curiosity to further her academics in the UK.
She embarked on her journey to England to further her studies at Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, where she first Obtained her BSc Nursing Sciences degree majoring with first class. She further undertook an (MSc) in Health Sciences Management at the same Northumbria University coming out with distinction, being the highest grade.
The academic excellence positioned her to appear in the school’s annual International Student’s Brochure showcasing her as one of their brilliant International Students. She has a diploma in Quality Improvement Management and Advanced Diploma in Quality Improvement with Specification to Healthcare obtained from Quality Professional Group, Chandigarh India. Joyce loves academics and knowledge and has continued to study and undertake various trainings to improve her career. She is currently pursuing her Fellowship program with West African Post Graduate College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Joyce worked as a bank nurse with British Nursing Association and A24 Professional Group while in England in various centres across the Northeast of England including Hospices, Dementia and disability Centres, Old peoples’ homes, care homes etc. She also worked in some NHS hospitals and significant amongst them was James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where she worked in various units of the hospital including the ICU, HDU, Neurosciences, women, and children’s units etc.
Joyce came back to Nigeria after working in England for five fruitful years undertaking several Quality Improvement trainings while in UK. She joined Lagoon Hospitals as a Quality Improvement Officer in 2013 and soon promoted to Quality Improvement Manager, a position she held until she left and joined Evercare Hospital Lekki in April 2020 as the pioneer Quality Improvement Manager. While at Lagoon, she ensured top notch quality of care to the patients as well as ensuring high quality standards are maintained at the hospital. She led the organisation to JCI reaccreditation three times and was preparing for the fourth before she left in 2020.
As the Quality Manager at Evercare hospital Lekki, she established and trained all staff on quality improvement and patient safety principles and processes ensuring that all quality documents, polices, protocols, pathways and guidelines are in place in all units and departments of the hospital before the official opening in March 2021.
By September 2021, she led Evercare Hospital to Safe-care Level 5 Certification being the first and highest score in Sub- Sahara Africa for a first-time applicant. She was preparing the hospital for Joint Commission Internation Accreditation before leaving in November 2023. Joyce is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at R-Jolad hospital, a position held from December 2023 to date.
Dr. Oteguonor Ogumor is a Dynamic Healthcare Administrator and Leader with more than a decade of expertise in hospital management.
He is currently the Medical Administrator for R-Jolad Hospital, a 211-bed, multispecialty, and multidisciplinary hospital group offering residency training and internship programs – which is a system of 4 hospitals and 3 outpatient clinics spread across Lagos State, Nigeria offering state of the art emergency, outpatient, inpatient, intensive care, dental, laboratory and radiological services as well as a wellness clinic.
He previously held dual roles at two facilities in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. As the General Manager at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals Adeniyi Jones, where he managed operations for a facility offering general outpatient services, health assessments, and a broad array of specialist outpatient services, serving an average of 5,000 patients monthly. In addition, he served as Hospital Administrator at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals on Awolowo Way, a position he held for eight years, where he managed emergency and inpatient services.
His initiatives led to measurable improvements in patient and employee satisfaction and net promoter scores across both facilities.
A key achievement in his career was driving the successful accreditation and subsequent reaccreditation of Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals, Ikeja by the Joint Commission International (JCI), maintaining this prestigious status across five consecutive assessments. This accomplishment is particularly notable within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
He hold an MBBS from the College of Medicine, University of Benin, and a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Management from the University of Lagos. Additionally, he has earned a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington, USA, a Certificate in Healthcare Management from the Education Development Centre at Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria and a Business Leadership Development Certificate from Rome Business School, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Rome Business School Nigeria to further strengthen his leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

Transitioning to Kupa Medical Center in Lagos, she not only maintained the standards of excellence but also spearheaded the modernization of laboratory practices. Since then, Olayinka has served as the Head of Department at Kupa Medical Center, before being appointed Managing Director at Erom Healthcare Diagnostics. Dr. Olamide Oluwasanmi earned her B.Sc in Medical Science and MB. Ch.B
from the University of Ghana and has obtained a Certificate in Healthcare

Tolu is a dynamic and result-oriented member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 12 years of comprehensive experience in the financial sector. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Starting her journey in Wema Bank Plc, she grew within the space to become the Branch Service Manager at the Regional office.
She supported in the transformation journey of the Bank, led several teams in managing key portfolios in the Bank and provided overall leadership and direction for all activities within the branch.
Tolu joined AfyA Care Nigeria Limited in January 2022 as the Group Head, Billings & Transaction Settlement Team. She is responsible for revenue assurance, which includes designing patient-centric processes and leveraging technology to build efficient processes in the Hospital business.

Emmanuel Augustine Ogbe is a seasoned Paediatrician and a fashion entrepreneur, with great passion and skills in the care of newborns.

Dr. Aliu-Ayo is recognized for her exceptional skills in delivering high-quality reproductive health care services. Dr. Aliu-Ayo earned her medical degree from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, where she also completed her specialty training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.

Dr Oladapo Adewuya is a Consultant Cardiologist, Specialist Physician, and Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP).
He graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC) in Ile-Ife and later earned a postgraduate Diploma in Health Care and Management in Tropical Countries (HCMTC) from the Swiss Tropical Institute of the University of Basel, Switzerland. Dr. Adewuya has also undergone training and gained valuable experience at prestigious institutions such as Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in New York and Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard University Teaching Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His recent training and work include roles at Ekiti Teaching Hospital and Afe Babalola University Multisystem Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, where he conducted and published research on Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG).
As a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the USA, Dr. Adewuya co-authored journal articles with a Nobel Laureate in Medicine and edited a biomedical research book chapter for the Encyclopedic Mechanism of Diseases. His extensive training and practice encompass Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Cardiology, Family, and Internal Medicine, and he has worked in the Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit (NTICU) in the United States. In Nigeria, his research and numerous publications focus on Serum Uric Acid and Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Adewuya’s interests include International Health, cutting-edge medicine, adherence to Clinical Practice Standards of Care, and the training of the next generation of physicians. He is also passionate about educating the populace in developing countries on preventable, high-impact diseases such as Systemic Hypertension and its devastating complications like Stroke, Heart Failure, and Heart Attack, as well as fostering institutional collaborations globally.
