Two emergency medicine residents from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and R-Jolad Hospital participated in rotations within our Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, further enriching their practical experience as part of their training in the Emergency Medicine program.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. John Prince Udo as our Consultant Anesthesiologist, Dr. Moses Adamgbe as our General Surgeon, and Michael Winner as Team Lead of Human Resources. Dr. Adeshina Sergei Fawole’s Impact at R-Jolad Hospital R-Jolad Hospital was honored to host Adeshina Sergei Fawole, MBBS, FRCS, MD, FRCS who conducted a series of advanced hernia procedures, showcasing his expertise and enhancing our team’s skills. Additionally, he hosted a well-received webinar on hernia management, which was attended by medical professionals and praised for its clarity and depth.
His contributions continue to enrich both our team and the broader medical community.
- Specialty Spotlight: Orthopedic Surgery
Our Orthopaedic Surgery Department recently achieved another milestone with the successful completion of a total knee replacement surgery, one of many advanced procedures we routinely perform. This life-changing surgery restores mobility and improves the quality of life for patients suffering from severe knee pain and joint degeneration.
- Welcoming Dr. Dotun Ilori and Ginika Fotofili to R-Jolad Hospital
We were honored to host Dr. Dotun Ilori from the NHS and Ginika Fotofili, a clinical educator from the UK. Dr. Ilori and Ginika shared valuable insights. Their expertise and contributions greatly enriched our team, providing fresh perspectives on patient care and professional development.
- Valentine’s Day Celebration
On February 14th, we came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to spreading joy, love, and appreciation throughout our hospital community. This special occasion allowed us to not only celebrate the spirit of kindness but also foster a sense of unity and team spirit among staff, patients, and visitors.
- Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Emergency Medical Training Graduation Ceremony.
It was a pleasure to celebrate the successful completion of the first batch of FAAN Medical Trainees, comprising Medical Doctors, Nurses, and Medical Laboratory Scientists, who have completed their hands-on postings and lectures as part of the R-Jolad Medical Update Course and Emergency Medical Training Program.
This impactful and rewarding training program has significantly enhanced their competence in healthcare delivery. The trainees were provided with extensive healthcare resources, which will serve as valuable references throughout their medical careers.
We wish them the very best as they apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills, and we look forward to the positive contributions they will make to the medical community.
